01 — The cinema

Red velvet and woodwork
in the heart of Paris.

The auditorium seen from the stage: tiers of red seats and the balcony

A few steps from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, our 153-seat auditorium welcomes you into a singular setting of red velvet, fine woodwork and portholes — inherited from the great transatlantic liners of the 1920s.

A cocktail space on the balcony, designed like a ship's deck overlooking the screen, makes for an experience your guests will remember.

Frequently asked

What people
ask us most.

Something not covered here? Get in touch

01

How many people can the venue hold?

153 seats: 126 in the stalls and 27 on the balcony. The balcony, designed like a ship's deck overlooking the auditorium, doubles as the cocktail space and can be hired on its own for a smaller reception.

02

Where is the venue, and how do I get there?

At 14 rue Troyon, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, a few steps from the Arc de Triomphe. Métro Charles de Gaulle — Étoile, lines 1, 2 and 6, and RER A. Two car parks immediately nearby: Indigo Wagram and Mac Mahon.

03

What technical equipment does the venue have?

A 7-metre-wide screen, a Christie 2220 digital projector and a Kinoton 35 mm projector, with Dolby surround 5.1 and 7.1 sound. There is also an in-house recording studio, with a full control room at your disposal.

04

Can the event be filmed or streamed live?

Yes. The in-house studio and its control room let us record your event and stream it live, anywhere in the world, so it reaches far beyond the auditorium. The footage is then yours to use.

05

Can we arrange a cocktail reception or a buffet?

Yes, with our catering partners. Because the balcony is laid out as a cocktail space, the screening and the reception follow on from one another without your guests leaving the venue.

06

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

No: the architecture of the building cannot accommodate wheelchair users. The auditorium is, however, equipped for visitors with impaired sight or hearing. We would rather say so plainly here than have someone travel for nothing.

07

How much does hiring the venue cost?

Every enquiry is quoted individually: the price depends on the date, how long you need the venue and which services you add. Tell us about your project using the form below and our team will send a proposal within 24 hours.

06 — Our story

An inheritance
from the roaring twenties.

Founded in 1920, Club de l'Étoile carries the elegance of the picture houses of another era, modelled on the great transatlantic liners.

The fine woodwork, the distinctive portholes and the red velvet create an atmosphere of their own, where every screening becomes a journey back in time.

A few steps from the Arc de Triomphe, the Club keeps that tradition alive while running today's most advanced technology, for a cinema experience with no equivalent.

A clandestine venue during the war, then an art-house cinema, the Club is today run by its four employees, who became partners in 2015.
